Something for the weekend?

I thought you might like to see an ONS (Office for National Statistics) life expectancy tool. They made it available on Friday. Given the above average old age population in Formby, this may prove interesting.

ONS Life expectancyA man aged 65 years in the UK can now expect to live, on average, to 85.6 and a woman of the same age to 87.8, new figures reveal. A boy born today could expect to live to 89.5, whilst a girl could expect to live to 92.1.

Use our calculator to find out your life expectancy, your chance of living to 100 and how long you’re likely to need to make your pension pot last.

The illustration I've used is a male aged 55 years old. I'm much older and I was surprised my prediction is for 87. Pleasing though.

How about you, what's your predicted life expectancy?

Don't worry you may have missed this opportunity to see Santa, but there's still plenty of time left before Christmas Day
